Abdul Sattar Edhi was Pakistani humanitarian who founded the Edhi Foundation, which runs the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network with various homeless shelters, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers, and orphanages. He was born in the year 1928 in Bantva Gujarat, British India. He died, July 8, 2016, in Karachi. After the partition of two different countries India and Pakistan, Mr. Abdul Sattar 'Edhi' and his family were 'Muslim' moved to Pakistan. He established the Edhi Foundation in 1974. Over the years becomes the largest organization of welfare and social system in Pakistan and the third world. The Edhi Foundation runs based on local volunteers and through private donations.
